Silk Road Uzbekistan: Tashkent, Bukhara & Samarkand
Duration
8 Days 6 Nights
Next Departure
6 August 2026
Destinations
Tashkent
Uzbekistan is where the Silk Road left its most visible mark — in the tilework of Bukhara's madrasahs, the scale of Samarkand's Registan, and the medieval lanes of Tashkent's old bazaars. This 8-day group departure covers the three cities that defined Central Asian Islamic civilisation at its height, with a day excursion to Chimgan Mountain and Charvak Lake built in before the final city day in Tashkent. We travel Tashkent to Bukhara by the Afrosiyob fast train, and back from Samarkand to Tashkent the same way — efficient, scenic, and a genuine part of the experience. Highlights include the Lyabi Khaus Ensemble and the Trading Domes of Bukhara, the Imam Al-Bukhariy Mausoleum outside Samarkand, and the Registan Square — a complex of three madrasahs that has no real equivalent anywhere in the world. Halal meals are included throughout. This departure is for the traveller who wants to stand in places most people haven't yet reached — and understand why they mattered.

Day-by-Day
Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for the group flight to Uzbekistan. The flight is with Uzbekistan Airways, and meals are served on board. On arrival at Tashkent International Airport, your guide meets the group for a brief orientation — first impressions of the city, a welcome dinner, then transfer to the hotel. An early night makes sense: tomorrow's journey to Bukhara begins in the morning.
