You arrive at London Heathrow and the tour begins at the airport. A private or shared transfer brings you to the hotel, with check-in from 14:00. The evening is independent.

The drive to Cambridge takes 90 minutes. The Mathematical Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, the Corpus Clock and King's College Chapel are the orientation anchors. A mosque stop is built in before the coach heads north to Leeds.

Leeds arrival — Dinner at restaurant, check-in and overnight.

A morning in Leeds, a photo stop at York Minster, then north to Edinburgh — and after dark, the Northern Lights. A local English-speaking guide leads the aurora hunt outside Edinburgh on the evening of arrival. Scotland's position at 56 degrees north means that during periods of high solar activity in late November and December, the Aurora Borealis is visible from the city's dark sky surroundings.

Leeds Orientation — Leeds Town Hall, Millennium Square, Leeds City Museum, Leeds Cathedral and Leeds Art Gallery. Photo stops.

York — Photo stop at York Minster. Free time at Shambles Market. York mosque prayer stop.

Aurora Hunting, Edinburgh — A local English-speaking guide leads the Northern Lights search after dark on arrival. The aurora appears as arcs, coronas, bands and rays of light; conditions depend on solar activity and cloud cover.

Edinburgh's UNESCO old town in the morning, Glasgow in the afternoon. Edinburgh Castle, Victoria Street, the Royal Mile and Princes Street; then the drive west to Glasgow, with mosque stop, Glasgow University, George Square and both Hard Rock Cafés.

Edinburgh Orientation — Edinburgh Castle (exterior), St Giles' Cathedral, the Heart of Midlothian, Victoria Street and Princes Street. Free time.

Glasgow Orientation — Glasgow University, George Square and the City Chambers. Glasgow Central Mosque prayer stop. Hard Rock Café Edinburgh and Hard Rock Café Glasgow both on the day's route.

South from Glasgow through the Lake District. Lake Windermere in late November or December is a different experience from the summer crowds — quieter, with low winter light on still water and the fells above. Bowness-on-Windermere is the stop before the coach continues to Manchester.

Manchester arrival — Dinner at restaurant. Check-in and overnight.

Liverpool in the morning, Manchester in the afternoon. Anfield and Old Trafford are both photo stops. The Albert Dock and the Three Graces are the Liverpool waterfront anchors. The Arndale and Oxford Street area is the Manchester afternoon.

Manchester Orientation — Old Trafford photo stop, Manchester Central Library, Town Hall, Royal Exchange Theatre. Manchester Central Mosque prayer stop. Arndale Manchester free time.

The drive south to Cardiff crosses the Severn Estuary. St Fagans National Museum of History — Wales's national open-air museum — is the main stop: 40 re-erected historical buildings across 100 acres, from Iron Age roundhouses to Victorian workers' cottages.

South Wales Islamic Centre — Prayer stop on arrival.

Cardiff Orientation — Cardiff Castle, Principality Stadium and Cardiff Bay. Free time on St Mary Street.

Bath is the stop between Cardiff and London — 90 minutes from both. The Roman Baths are the reason. The city is on two UNESCO World Heritage lists: the Roman archaeological site and the Georgian architecture above it.

Bath Orientation — Royal Crescent, Royal Victoria Park, The Circus, Pulteney Weir, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths exterior. Photo stops.

London arrival — Dinner at restaurant. Check-in in London.

A full day in London in late November or December — the Christmas lights are typically on Oxford Street and Regent Street from mid-November, and the city is at its most atmospheric in the early evening dark.

Buckingham Palace — Photo stop at the Victoria Memorial and the palace gates.

Parliament Square — Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge.

Queen's Walk — Tower Bridge, the Tower of London (exterior), HMS Belfast and London City Hall along the South Bank.

Central London Mosque — Prayer stop, Regent's Park.

Oxford Street — Free time for shopping. Christmas lights from mid-November.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Heathrow or the relevant London airport for your return flight. The tour ends at the airport.
